Project 4:
Protect children’s lives – Prevent HIV/Aids in Uganda

In Uganda, many children die from avoidable diseases such as diarrhoea or pneumonia, as well as HIV and Aids. Through a project in the east of Uganda, Plan International is strengthening the local health services in order to reduce the infant mortality rate. Plan International is helping to improve the medical care and to make life-saving treatments possible. Plan International trains health teams in HIV prevention, amongst other things, and equips the health points with medicine and equipment. Families will also have their rights as patients explained to them. 80,000 children benefit from this.
